A Zimbabwe School Project
Sego Lily Foundation
Our Story
The Sego Lily Foundation was formed in 2016 to help and enhance the ongoing humanitarian work of Paul and Kathy Duncan. For more than 30 years, they have been involved with various projects locally in Idaho and internationally. These efforts include working with schools and communities in Guatemala, organizing the sewing and distributing of thousands of quilts, and co-establishing the Magic Valley Humanitarian Center in Southern Idaho to assist local families.

In 2012, the Duncans began working in Zimbabwe to help supply, load and send shipping containers loaded with humanitarian aid to Zimbabwe. They have also been involved in distributing these goods to many areas across the country. With the many ongoing humanitarian activities, it became evident that a foundation needed to be created. Since its inception, Sego Lily has continued to work in Zimbabwe and has helped numerous foreign students with tuition, etc. to obtain a college degree.
In 2020, to create more sustainability in these efforts in Zimbabwe, the Duncan Family established Zambezi Fresh, a farming operation, outside of the Sego Lily Foundation. Over the course of working in this area, it became apparent that many children do not attend school or walk large distances to attend school. Sego Lily is now embarking on building a school to assist in addressing this need. Sego Lily has expanded and established an independent board of individuals (both local to Zimbabwe and from the United States) to manage the funding, building, and administration of the school.

Sego Lily Foundation is a 501 c3 organization.
